This non-ablative procedure is a form of mechanical and superficial exfoliation using a surgical blade. It helps remove dead skin cells, vellus hair and prepares the skin for increased absorption of active ingredients to follow.
Dermaplaning may be performed alone or combined with light chemical resurfacing agents, or LED to help achieve desired results.
Who is it best for:
This type of treatment can be done on most skin concerns but is largely used to target pigmentation, congestion, and removal of vellus hair. This treatment is not recommended for those experiencing lesion type acne breakouts as well those with sensitive skin.
What results should you expect:
You can expect improved texture and increased radiance with no downtime. If you wear makeup you will see an improvement in application and how complexion products (such as liquid and powder foundations) sit on the skin due to the removal of vellus hair.
How do you book this treatment?
Dermaplaning can be added as an upgrade to a classic facial, Pro Firm + Neck, Pro Bright or hydrating facial. This service would be 50 minutes.
Dermaplaning can also be booked as a standalone 30 min service.
