1. Sunscreen Is A Must-Have!
Should you bring sunscreen? It’s a common question that many of us consider before walking out the door on a sunny summer day. Rather than trying to figure out if you should or shouldn’t, if there will be clouds or shade or not, etc., just follow this key tip: if you know you will be outdoors for more than a half an hour, wear (or bring) your sunscreen.

2. Stay Hydrated
When it’s hot, you want to be sure to hydrate your skin from the inside and out! The warm weather and sun can rob the skin of moisture! Drink plenty of water as well as use a potent hydrator in your skin care regimen to supplement the skin with water so that it appears balanced and healthy at all times!

3. Exfoliate
The summer months can dry the skin out causing the skin to look a bit lackluster. You will need to gently exfoliate the skin on a regular basis once or twice a week. A gentle scrub keeps the skin looking healthy and renewed.

4. Wear a Hat
In addition to a sunscreen, physically shield the skin from the sun with a wide-brimmed hat. Choose a hat that is thin and allows air to circulate, such as straw or thin cotton material.

5. Facials Are a Necessity
Be sure to continue seeing a trained professional esthetician for your regular facials throughout the summer! This will keep the skin protected, balanced and hydrated.
